The RX100 IV is mirrorless - do you mean you are moving to a mirrorless interchangeable lens camera (MILC)?
 
No, it isn't mirrorless.
Ok, it's a compact camera - but, technically, it does not have a mirror :wink:

Actually my question to the Op should have been why was he moving from the RX100 to an interchangeable lens camera? From all I've read, the RX100 is quite capable with good strobes and is a very compact, "low cost" setup? I'm curious as I've considered going the Sony RX route versus getting a housing for my Nikon D500 or D810 as the cost and size goes up dramatically with ILC cameras - dSLR or mirrorless.

Sorry for taking the thread off topic, but at least I'm bumping it.
