I'm interested in others experience in luggage solutions for transport of tech gear when weight restrictions are an issue, due to "Puddle Jumpers" restricting luggage weights (e.g. Little Cayman, Bikini, etc). A BP can't be squeezed into a neat little ball like a BC might, and the weight of multiple regs fro tech diving makes it difficult to make a weight quota of (say) 40 pounds. How are you making total weight limits, and what styles/makes of luggage have allowed you to package it. Any carryon solutions?

I use duffles made from ballistic cloth. I put all my regs, lights, etc. in padded bags and then into the duffles. The weight of the duffle is nothing when compared to some of the new roller bags that start off weighing 6-10lbs. The down side is that you have to schlep them or get a cart at the airport. For a single rig we can just get our bags in at 2x50lbs. If a doubles rig we are looking at another 20 lbs. I have a nice padded bag that I like using the problem is that it is huge and I easily fill it with more than 50lbs. It was great back when the max was 75lbs.

I would love it if I could find similar bags but smaller.
