hi, can anyone give me some advice on a lightweight bcd for travelling?

ideally i would like one with integrated weight pockets. I have just been in asia for 7 months with a scubapro nighthawk which i love but is heavier than i need.

thanks

steve

Look at the Zeagle Express Tech, you can configure it many different ways to suit yourself.

Here's a good article that goes over a few options:

<can't quote link since I don't have 5 posts>

I recently acquired the second BCD (the Seaquest Zuma) from the list quoted in the above post, and probably have about 25 or so dives on it.

I usually dive a BP/W and what I liked about the Zuma was the minimalist approach. The "jacket" part is not overbearing - it's really just straps with padded shoulders and pockets. The one adjustment that has made a difference in usability is to add two carabineers to the standard plastic "d" rings - for me, they weren't easy to use as designed.

Very pleased with the design and performance so far.

Why do you want integrated weights? Find two similar BCs, one with integrated weights and one without - the one without is MUCH more compact (and weighs less) since you have eliminated tons of plastic.

My Zeagle Scout is brilliantly light and compact. I bring along a weight belt (which is also brilliantly light and compact) and rent weights locally.

Weights on a weight belt can be re-positioned to help with your trim - integrated weight pockets can't be moved. My dive buddy bought a BC with integrated weights and now wishes he hadn't. I am happy with the Scout.

i have a zeagle ranger and must say the integrated weight system doesn't add much weight its all fabric with the rip cord system.
