The Light Monkey LED 21W Dive Light is a bright durable canister dive light offering the tight focus beam with a lot of punch that is preferred for exploration diving. Powered with a sealed lithium chemistry battery, the LED 21W light burns at 1100 lumens of brightness for 5 or 8 hours. The single OSRAM Opto Semiconductor 21W LED offers the advantage of very long 20,000 hour life and the 6° beam width is much tighter than multi-LED arrays. Technical divers prefer the tight beam design for signaling purposes.
Recently LM has updated to an 11 Ahr/5 hour burn time battery with a different internal cell structure as compared with the previous 10 Ahr/4 hour burn time battery. To be clear, our version of their 21W LED light is configured with the new 11 Ahr battery providing the longer five hour burn time, although the part number has not changed. LM also offers a larger 20 Ahr battery option that provides 8 hours of burn time.
