If you're a licensed pilot, you should check with some of the local dive boat operators. The ones in SoCal are often looking for boat captains, could be the same up there. Get paid while you learn the sport!

Almost seems like a natural progression - Same pattern of interests down here in CT. GO for it! It's another very fulfilling experience and as with flying and boating, it can become quite the passionalte addiction!

LOL.. IM sure he means aircraft pilot.. Welcome to SB and I have a passion for flying as well.. Started my private lessons when I was 15. Flying is like diving very much. You have to keep at it. Dive as much as you can.
