Any comments or observations about Liat Airlines? We might have to use them next month and wondered about upkeep, scheduling, etc.

Thanks,

Jack

Hi Jack,

I've flown LIAT out of Nassau to various small destinations in the greater Caribbean. The upkeep & scheduling/adherence to schedule struck me as comparable to American Eagle, BWIA & other islands hoppers. You may or may not find this reassuring, but I had no real worries.

Best of luck.

It's somewhat reassuring about your maintainence post. At least they're not in the same league as Aeroflot!

We might use them from St. Kitts to St. Martin next month and I wanted to make sure that it wasn't ME that was flying the plane!

Liat are fine they are owned by several goverments in the British west Indies. BWIA have newer aircraft and on some routes use jets so they should be your first choice. I would rate LIAT just below major US regional airlines.
