Its about the size of an AL63.....

Stamp: DOT 3AA 3000-92/9001/184 M8303 Farber Italy 02^92+ SCUBAPRO

(yes, there is a current hydro and vip - I have owned this for a couple years)

I believe this is a "72", but not sure....

looking for spec. sheet/data

true volume, buoyancy (full/empty), etc.

thanks.

AFAIK, frequently Faber didn't stamp capacity on tanks. The information provided merely says it's an 3000psi LP steel tank with an initial plus rating made in 1992. ( 92/9001/184 is merely a serial # year / batch / tank as I understand it )

What is the height, diameter and weight of the tank empty? If you really want you could fill it with water to measure the internal volume and then calculate the CF based on 3300 psi.

It might match:

chrpai: Do you think I'm going to do that (fill it with water) to a tank in full working order??? LOL.

yeah, thats about the only one I have found (the 72) too...... need to check the diameter as I think it is bigger than that (but may be wrong).

thanks.

I have friends who would. :)

Transfill whips are a liberating thing.

Fwiw, I emailed Fabee once for an REE number. They politely replied the next day. Maybe with the serial number they would research your tank for you.

I hear you on the transfill (yes, I own one), but keeping water OUT of my tanks has been a major objective (especially steel ones). :D

If your scale, thermometer, and pressure gauge are accurate enough... You can weigh it empty then weigh it with 3000 psi of air, and calculate the volume based on the mass of the air contained.

Emailing Faber might be easier, but won't be as much fun :)

Filling it with simple green and very hot water is a way to kill 2 birds. You clean you tank and find out the volume. I always clean my tanks after hydro anyway.

Now for your answer to the question... how big is my tank?

Go here. this is very accurate since I have checked it a couple of times .... Cleaning my tanks.
