Hello!

While there're tons of third-party lenses for Olympus, there're only a few which fit Canon. However, to date, I can't seem to find any for the WP-DC60. I'm using an A520 and would like to add a wide-angle converter to my setup. Anyone any clues?

My wife just bought the same camera and I bought the housing for it. I've been shooting Nikonos II's for years and thought this would be a nice change. I was hoping someone would chime in and say there is. To the best of my knowlage there isn't. A 35 mm lense is a normal lense underwater, like a 50 mm is topside. Most of my work in lake Michigan has been done with a slip on 17mm lense on my Nikonos. I was hoping this thread might smoke out say a 20mm for the cannon. That would work nicely and give me the best of both worlds. Still I look at the A520 as a good starting point regardless. It should be an interesting season.

I think you're out of luck looking for a lense for the wpdc60... I contacted Inon America a while back an they don't manufacture any of the ad mount bases for that housings, which is what would hold the aftermarket lense on the housing. They make them for other canon housings, olympus, and nikon though. I couldn't find one for mine but I wondered whether the ad mounts that fit similar canon housings would fir on the wpdc60 but never tried...

You may have some luck. Fantasea makes wide angle lenses for their housings. One of them will probably work on the WP-DC60. They attach via an o-ring. First you will need to check the lens diameter of the housing. I would contact Fantasea and see which one would fit.

Hello DesertEagle

Thanks for the link. I visited the web but can't figure out which one is for the WP-DC60. Any idea?

fourengines...I have the same setup with same predicament...let me know if you find one that fits...I've been looking for sometime now...I'll pm you when I finally find it.
By the way nice pics...especially the nudibranches...was it with this setup?

Because of the optical construction of the zoom lens of the A620, wide angle lenses are not compatible. 67mm lenses can be attached to the Ikelite housing, but that doens't mean you'll like the results.

Not the A520. Sometimes I wish Canon would name their cameras so they wouldn't be so easy to confuse.

Something is going to fit with this housing. Either a Fantasea lens, or maybe one of the Inon adapters. This housing looks very similar to the one for the A75. While the bottom part might not fit, the lens mount looks lthe same. Maybe a little glue could work wonders.

Sea & Sea also makes some holders for their attachment lenses.

This is going to be a trial and error thing.
