Lens care/maintenance

[Water Bear]

My Nikon closeup lens has developed a few tiny specs on the prism which can only be seen if you look at it very closely and at a certain angle. If you look through the lens, you don't see them. Is this normal? Does anyone know what that is? I've tried a few types of lens cleaning solutions, but they persist! :11:

If they don't show up on film what is the difference?? (don't mean to be terse...as I know internet speak is hard to interpret sometimes...) I actually have a few small scratches on my ikelite domeport, but that is because its a hand-me-down from my dad...as I am still waiting for the seas and my schedule to meet each other!
