You had all the right gear and it show! This must be some of the most stable macro footage on the web
Particularly nice the hairy frogfish coughing
Quality of video spectacular with your canon
Only one small remark is that there a lot of critters there not doing much in terms of behavior that you could have purged for a shorter more snappy version of the best bits
Impressive overall

Thanks for the comments. I do need to cut it down to a shorter time...5-6 minutes. As for the behavior, not sure I can do much about that. To track a swimming fish with a 100mm macro lens, is next to impossible. And any other behavior, is dependent on the critter. :)

Thanks again for watching.

Amazing footage. That opening is the best ever. Mind posting your setup...including editing software?

Well first of all. I love the 100mm.....and second, I believe the 60mm is only for cropped sensors. The Canon 5d mark ii is a full frame sensor. I don't know that there is an equivalent for the 60mm in full frame. Or at least one that fits in a Ikelite port system. I actually really like the close in shots. I recently went to komodo and had a Subsee +10 diopter to get even closer. I love it. Although it is hard to use!! For the more medium/ shots, I would have to use my 17-40mm.
Perhaps a 50mm might work....Which I do have, but I'm not sure how good this will work, as we have had port flaring when using it for photos.

Thanks for posting this - great video. I liked the editing, no need to shorten it.

OK makes sense. The footage is of amazing quality the tripod obviously helps a lot
However it does make me think about video with an SLR. You go with one lens and you are done for the dive. I wonder how it works with zoom gear it looks like the usual flexibility you have with a camcorder is not achievable with a DSLR though the quality of the footage with your canon is indeed impressive
