Just got back from Belize where we tried LED Lights from Ocean brite for the video. The lights were OCEAN BRITE TREK DUAL LED LIGHT SYSTEM http://www.oceanbrite.com/qtzhalg.htm
Since I've never used anything else I can't compare to other lights. But for $500 for this 2-pair system, Our video has much more color in it than before. While they don't penetrate, once you get the camera within 5-feet and closer ... the color of the reds comes out and the brightness of the other colors improves 10 fold. So if you're interested in video lights ... I would say these will give you much better results than just a filter.
