I have a Light Monkey 10-21 HID. Is it possible to replace the head with a newer LED head?

can size is different.

That depends on how old the HID light is. The older ones had a 3" diameter canister and a large lid with the ballast in the lid, igniter in the light head. The newer HID (going maybe 6-7 years back) had the 2.75" canister with a shorter lid and the ballast/igniter both in the light head.

I went through all this with my LM 21W HID. I ended up basically trading the old light in for a new sidemount 20W LED, although they took the battery pack from my HID, as it was almost new.

OP, can you post a few photos of your HID light? I'm sure I can help you ID what you would need. You can also look for my posts on some earlier threads about it. The newest 20W head is very powerful for the wattage, but it does have a different character than HID light. All LEDs do, no matter what anyone tells you.
