My Seaquest Pro QD has began a small slow leak of air from the valve on the left shoulder. The air is coming out from the small dump hole that opens when you pull down on the inflator hose. I usually don't dump air this way, i periodically dump air from all four dumps just to make sure they're working. When i took of my BC in the pool today and was checking for bubbles i noticed a small leak. Its nothing major but i want to prevent it from becoming worse. The BC is not under warranty but there is a LDS that is a aqualung/seaquest dealer and service center.

My question is: Is this a O-ring or maybe just a stuck part that i could fix my self? AND Should i have it fixed or replace the whole inflator?

I would certainly bring the BC to your LDS. It sounds like it may be a relatively easy fix. It may be one of a couple of things:

1. It may be (like you stated) a worn/damaged o-ring, or

2. There is a spring mechanism with a stopper that is inside the inflator hose. One of the components inside may be worn.

Either way, I don't think it would be too expensive to fix or replace either one. I would definitely have it checked at your LDS before your small leak becomes a big leak!
