Is it possible to dress the orifice on a D300 as you would with a "standard" orifice like those on a G250? I can't tell if the orifice comes out or is fixed. Looking at schematics it looks to be removable but am unsure how and if it's advisable to do so.

I'm pretty sure my leak is caused by some damage to the orifice edge, with a loupe I can see some nicks.

I'm still getting small slow bubbles coming out of top cap when pressurized and submerged in a bucket. I've tried three different caps and O rings but the leak persists.

As always any pointers would be appreciated. Cheers.

No the matal orifice can't be removed from the housing, but you easily get to it, by pulling off the aspirator, The schematics you are looking at, are the last generation of the D400 before was retired, the orifice was plastic and can be replaced the housing still metal.
By the way lever, linkage and housing aren't interchangeable D300-350-400

Thanks. Yeah I've had it apart, well several actually, penny didn't drop I was actually looking at a D400 schematic. If all else fails I'll attempt to dress the orifice.

I don't understand why a leaking orifice would result in a leak at the top cap. If the aspirator hole isn't blocked it would just exit the exhaust valve. Maybe one of the experts could address how this leak could relate to a bad orifice.
