LDS and enthusiatic new diver

I went to a LDS this weekend and they had one girl working who had just certified a couple weeks ago. She was sooooo enthusiatic about every thing. I enjoyed walking around there and just asking her questions I already had the answers for, but it was fun to hear her answer. But I couldnt believe the prices. Just in peticular they had a kids mask set that they wanted $65 for (her answer was its the best they make) and on line the same one is $16. But it was so much fun just talking to this girl and catching some of that excitement about diving. Made me want to grab the gear and go. Love the new divers!!

It's cool that she was enthusiastic about diving, but it kind of scares me to think that the shop had a newly certified employee on the floor. Sometimes I'm willing to pay a little more at the LDS to get the advice of someone experienced, but to pay out the *** AND have a newbie selling you equipment, now that's frightening!

Hey MM, did she at least have the right answers to your questions?

She did for most, but what was cool when she didnt she picked up the phone and called the owner. She wasnt afraid to say she didnt know. She even had a cool photo album of her ow cert. She brought back alot of memories from along time ago.
But it was scary to not only have a newby but one alone in the shop.

Actually I had to think about what she look like when I posted that. She was really nice and great attitude. Thats what this post was supposed to be. She was soo energetic about diving. I just miss the total newness and new excitement that she expressed!
