Were any of you affected by the worm targeting Microsoft Windows? There were a few minutes of frustration, thinking I had screwed something up on my computer, then I heard the news of the worm. All better now!

It seems that it got past my Norten Systemworks. I updated it, ran it again and have had no problems.
ScubaSean,
How was your trip on the Truth?

The patch has been out for a month.

The only reasons you have for being infected are ignorance of the fact that you have to patch or extreme negligence.

Even still, any computer connected to the net should be firewalled... and a halfway decent firewall would have prevented this.

Not that I'm yelling at you, but if you can't run a firewall on your computer OR visit Windows Update more than once a year, you deserve the virus. Hope you didn't back up either :)

OK just kidding, but patch more often from now on. If more people do, this won't happen again :)
