I just picked up a D100 camera and was wondering what the largest CF card people were using. I saw what was stated in the manual, but since this is an older camera and technology has increased I'm sure bigger cards can be used. So....what size cards are you using that are compatible?

I am not sure about your D100, but I am currently using a 4GB with my D70s.

You should not have any problems using larger cards. The manual probably doesn't list them because they were not available when the camera was originally released. My advise is too buy one and try it. If it doesn't work, you can always return the card.

4Gb (for firmware 2.00)
I have a 6Gb card in mine, but had to tweak the filesystem to get the camera to see it as a 4Gb card. Save hassle and do not buy larger than 4Gb cards (no way of using the extra capacity). It shows 430 images available in uncompressed RAW mode.

The D70s uses the newer filesystems, and should see at least the current 8Gb microdrives. It is not the same for the D100, which has firmware at least 3 years older.

I use a 2G CF card with my D-100, and i get 205 uncompressed RAW files. Can't really see a need to go any bigger.
