I d like to know and meet others divers of this area and go diving togheter.

Jonny, check with Joe Dituri out in Hawaii:

Joe is the IANTD Training Director. Another IANTD Lar instructor, as you'll know, is Jeff Bozanic who can be reached through the mail address at the IANTD website. It may also be a good idea to contact Tom at IANTD HQ, like Big Jet suggests, in case there are even more instructors out there not on the site.

That's correct, Jeff is still instructing on the LAR V, and has certified a whole bunch of people. More than MK divers, actually. He's located in Huntington Beach, CA, and can be reached by e-mail at jbozanic@hqonline.net .
Might take a few days, Jeff travels a lot, volunteers at the USC Catalina Chamber etc..

I remember quite a few divers in Germany messing around with LARs, you might want to look up RAB (Rebreather Advisory Board) and IART (International Assoc. of RB Trainers) in Germany. Would be a lot closer to your location.

I live in SoCal and took the LAR V class from Channel Islands Scuba. The guy who owns the place is Mike Dahan and he really knows his stuff. He knows so much stuff about these things you would think he invented the rebreather. He trains a lot of military guys how to use them and really does a good job training civilians as well. He first trained me how to use a Drager Dolphin which I love (a little bulky but great nonetheless) and then I took a LAR V class with him and was blown away by how much this guy knew. If you are serious about learning the LAR V he is the only guy I would trust.

These things can be pretty dangerous if your not carefull, so make sure you know what you are doing before you start using one on a regular basis...

I hope this helps.
