Divers, help me please. We are trying to decide where to go in early-August for two weeks. We are looking for excellent land-based diving with the opportunity for pelagics. An ideal location would have relatively short boat rides. And it must be malaria free (traveling with a small baby and older kid). Good beaches or topside activities are a bonus.
We've considered Maldives but it seems like the weather and visibility are potentially problematic. We're also considering Sea of Cortez but we've done this twice before(we would also love to see mantas, but we're concerned early-August is too early in the season). We've previously dove various places in Indonesia (Komodo, Raja, Bandas, Derawan), various places in the Caribbean, Revillagigedos, Palau, French Polynesia, Fiji and Red Sea.
Any suggestions much appreciated!
