You don't need to send any film that is taken with an u/w camera to anyone special to develop them.

The big thing about taking pictures underwater, regardless of where you are doing it (fresh or salt water) is the amount of light on the subject. If you don't have enough light, then the only colours that will show up will be greenish or blueish. All the others will have been absorbed.

Some people request that the place that develops their photos use a special process to compensate for this by artificially adding back in the colours that have been lost. Personally, I'd rather see what I was doing right (or wrong) and correct it at my end rather than have someone else decide what the results of my u/w pictures should look like.

I agree with Sub~I want to see the results of what my camera sees and correct anything, if needed, there.

Dee- have you taken pixs at Twin Lakes? If so, how did they turn out?

Yes, I took quite a few last Wednesday. Look here to see them.

In your previous post we were talking about correcting the colors in photos. In some of these, like the ones with the divers, you can see the 'greeness' of the water. In the fish photos, I did an auto levels correction for more realistic colors on the fish. They still aren't exactly right but close.

FYI....I was not using a strobe or any kind of lighting.
