Hey everyone,
My girlfriend is planning on getting a BC for christmas and has been looking at the Seaquest Diva XLT and the Oceanic ISLA. She has not been able to try either on yet and just wanted to get some feedback from anyone with some experience with them. Thanks a lot!

I purchased the SeaQuest Diva LX in September and I absolutely love it. I never thought I would find one I liked better than my Dacor XTremelle.

I had originally planned on looking at the XLT, but the shop didn't have that in stock, so I tried the LX and was very impressed with the way it fit. My husband also got a new Seaquest BC and has been very happy with his.

I believe that it all comes down to fit and comfort, and what works for me may not work for you. Please think long and hard before you buy a BC based solely on anyone's recommendation. You should try on as many BCs on as you can, and even better would be to try them in the water. Find what fits YOU and your diving style the best, and buy it. All our recommendations are good for is to help you decide which BCs you might want to TRY, not buy!!

For example:

My first BC was a Diva and after less than 10 dives, I knew that I hated it and couldn't wait to get rid of it. For me it was a bulky mess that made me feel like I was wearing WAY too much, it felt like it dragged underwater, and I didn't like the way it moved on my body...rotated side to side easily and on the surface the shoulders would be up around my ears. :(

I replaced it with a Zeagle Zena and knew long before 10 dives in it that I'd never go back to a jacket style BC. The Zena fits me and my dive style perfectly. The Zena's modular design allowed me to mix and match parts of the BC for a custom fit, though ironically, mine is a straight M and fits perfectly. I also like that if I should decide to dive cold, I can simply purchase a bigger wing and swap wings out instead of having to get an entirely new BC. :D

Find what works for you and buy it, regardless of what anyone else says.
