Divingsquad's write-up on North Raja Ampat has convinced that we must incorporate Wayag in to our November 2023 Indonesia extravaganza. So, we are thinking about doing a south/central Raja Ampat trip with Carpe Diem, then two days later hopping on La Galigo to head up North. I don't see any reviews on Carpe Diem on here. Any thoughts on this boat? I find it awesome that their pricing is the same for their four cabins. It seems like it is a very small, intimate experience, which is right up our alley. Is there anything we should be aware of?

Is the La Galigo suite worth the extra money? My husband is worried we won't want to leave our room, it'll be so roomy. I love a big bathroom, though.

We are open to other suggestions to get us both North and South. It seems that few boats go to Wayag, and when the long trips do, it's just for a day. My only qualificaiton is that the bathroom not be a shower/shitter combo. (Eloquent I know.) :rofl3: Oh, and my husband does not want to be on the lower level of any boat. (Egress concerns) Our dates/months are fully flexible, too.

We'll likely either start our trip in Lembeh, or end it there, at NAD.

I should clarify: The Karst islands in Wayag are what have me so excited. :)

@Dan I know you have been on La Galigo. From a safety standpoint, what are your thoughts on this boat? I noticed that Carpe Diem does not appear to have a "camera room" of any sort, and the lower level looks like a death trap if anything ever did happen, at least based on the floor plans they have on their website.

Hello, I am thinking of doing a Raja Ampat trip with Carpe Diem in April 2023. Did you end up going with them? Could I please get a quick review on them? Thank you
