Hello all,

Would like some opinions from those who have dove the Koplin light-weight BP and light-weight STA combo.

I was thinking that it, with a Oxy 30, should make a great travel BP. How is the fit and feel compared to full-plate designs? A full stainless is a bit heavy for me, so I was looking at aluminum when I saw these.

I dive with him quite a bit, and he raves about his "dogbone" Koplin travel plate.

He actually dove doubles with it on a Cavern course in Mexico.

Long story short - Koplin makes great stuff. You absolutely cannot go wrong with a Koplin plate and wing.
 
My wife and I both have the lightweight STA that we use on our Halcyon SS BP and it works great. It doesn't move the tank out too much and the way its designed you can still route your cam bands through the BP if you decide (for some reason) not to put the cam bands through the STA. It also fits with the Pioneer integrated "STA" so you don't have to remove them. I think its the best STA out there due to its great quality, finish and versatility.

Can't say anything about the travel BP but Scott does make high quality stuff and I don't think you can go wrong with it.
