Kootenay Wreck Audits
September 9 - 11, 2011

It is planned to visit and assess the condition of several wrecks in the Nelson and Castlegar areas. Near the Nelson bridge in the Kootenay River lay the wooden 26m long steam tug Ymir and a CPR railway transfer barge. At Castlegar, the steam tug Elco II will be audited in the Columbia River. The 23m long Elco is upside down and is complete with boiler and engine. There is no cost to divers since they will take care of their own food & accommodation.

Contact Bill Meekel for more details.
