I just don't log dives
super day offshore monroe county today: sunshine, light NW winds, seas <1FT. 1st dive, MOLASSES reef deep buoy M27. zero current, 80+FT terrific blue viz degrading to 40FT near end of the dive as colder/darker water flowed in (upwelling) from the deep, water 79F(75F in upwelling) @ 45-90FT. moved inshore to escape the dirtier water, buoy M25. variable blue water viz 50-70FT, no current , 79F @ 18-35FT. awesome small cannon observed for the 1st time @ 50FT near the dropoff. great animal action on both dives, turtles, reef/nurse sharks, huge schools of mating snappers, grunts, groupers. reef was alive today! pics from Timg,,,,,,,,had the same upwelling this past Thursday on the duane and deep reef,,,,,really dirty/cold water,,,,,

I have experienced those upwellings on the Wilkes-Barre. We ran into 59 degree water at 200 feet one day. Tough with a 3 mil shorty. Surface temp was mid 80's.

Where is that cannon?
