I noticed the other day that youtube now supports HD video, so I posted a couple of short videos, mostly of local dives from here in San Diego. I think the quality is better than that of Vimeo, and maybe works better on low end systems.

Most are shot with my old Sony HC9 camcorder and Ocean Images housing, but the latest one, Kelp & Canyon was shot using a Sony SR12 and Light and Motion Housings and Lights.

Any feedback, helpful hints are much appreciated!

Absolutely spectacular. I only made it through the first video because I am at work but amazing. I cannot wait to watch the others.

Your videos are gorgeous! I especially loved the Catalina one-- but I am prejudiced. I hope you don't mind, but I posted a copy to our blog at thecatalinaway.com

Excellent videos. Warm water is great, but few seem to realize how amazing it is in our cold waters out here.

Hey Roger, Great videos!

I find I learn so much about how to make better videos by just watching what all you guys do. Thanks not to just Roger but all you folks that post videos.

By the way, which of the light systems sold by L&M are you using?

Thanks!

Those videos are breathtaking! by the way i commented on the videos

Your right h20. I only got my OW cert last july and have only dived in La Jolla 5 times. Before i went out i was kind of scared because i didn't know what to expect. I was expecting nothing to down there besides a few rockfish, but once me and my instructor went down we found EVERYTHING it was Amazing! we went to the canyon ridge and saw batrays which were amazing. Then on the way back of my final cert dive we found tons of beach toys at about 50 ft and we started playing frisbee and everything and we found some sunglasses and put them on it was hilarious. I love diving now and i went to Tahiti later on that summer. I cant wait to go back diving for my Advanced Cert in a few months!!!!

Very well done Roger. I especially liked the octo eating fringy in the La Jolla video. The lead-in's were very cool too - thanks for sharing!
