Looking to upgrade from my Sola 2000's which I love by the way. But I have been doing some video in caves lately and looking for a bit more lumens at times. Here is links to each product : KELDAN Video 4X 6000 Lumen Underwater Video Light this Keldan looks like a excellent product and has brightest light out of the 2 options but the itorch 50 has the option of a remote switch, which is a real game changer for me as it will reduce task loading and fumbling to turn off lights. http://www.itorch.ca/venom50.html[U... Anyone have experience with either product?

We sell the Keldan and the iTorch (and others).

The Keldan Video 4x are a true 6000 lumens and 5000k light with an accuracy of 82 CRI. Which means that the light has a truer color balance and the rated output is extremely even. The large wheel on the back makes them pretty easy to turn and adjust up and down. They are a bit larger than the iTorch, probably about he same weight in the water. You can change the light heads out for a blue or UV one. They are Austrian-made, so the build quality is better than the iTorch models, which are made in Hong Kong. Definitely a nicer light. But so is the price.

The controls on the iTorch Venom 50 are good with 2 buttons dividing mode and output. Beam is quite good, but with a CRI of 72; so the white balance is not as good and may wander a bit. But not as easy to deal with as the Keldan. The remote control helps a lot, but keep in mind you'll need a separate control and sync cord for each light. That's going to add to their cost.
They are working on a high CRI 92 version, but it's still in prototype.

Another great light in the Fix NEO 3000, which also has a remote and is smaller like your Solas. One remote can work 2 lights together, separately, or put them into sleep mode.

It looks like you're in the Great White North. We can arrange direct shipping on the ITorch products from within Canada which will save you duty.

The Add Helium team recently posted video of their dive in The Pit in Mexico. The video is stunning, with superb lighting. They used Keldans.

iPhone. iTypo. iApologize.

I recently ordered the Venom 50 but dang those Keldan are super bright. Hopefully mine will be comparable. I see Jack stated that iTorch is playing with the CRI92 with a prototype. Any idea on when these are suppose to be released or are they like a year out?

They had a demo at DEMA, but I haven't heard any more lately. Not sure when/if they will bring that model of the Ven 50s out. They've mostly been concentrating on the remote.

understandable, I heard the remote was pretty amazing. How do you think the lights compare to the Keldan? Very close?
