I'm travelling to Curacoa for 3 weeks of shore diving can anyone help me with where or how to protect a cell phone and car keys while diving?

Hide the cell phone in the car. Put the car keys in a DRYFOB that @Jaan makes. dryfob.com

Our plan. We either don’t bring a cell phone and carry the key with us in an otterbox in a bc pocket or leave valuables with a dive site dive op, either in a locker (go west playa kalki) or behind their desk (b diving cas abou Beach).

Another +1 for DRYFOB

I have an annoying habit of leaving my car keys in the pocket of my board shorts, and taking them diving with me 😱. I bought a key safe from Amazon, the car keys go into the safe, clip the safe to the door handle

Leave the cellphone at home, put the key under the floor mat ("they" don't steal cars, it's an island). Key safe works but IME the car key usually doesn't fit. Home keys, drivers license, credit card and a few bills do, though.

LOL so does @gypsyjim

:sadangel:

I missed a greatly anticipated evening with friends, who I seldom see, to spend a wild evening, trapped in a tow truck with a raving lunatic, racist, scatterbrain, driving forever because he got lost.
I probably have more stories to share from that night, than had we all met, but, still.... I liked my original plans much better!

edit: Note, for all who are not aware of this fact: Taking the Electronic, Key Fobs for your rental, on a 30 minute dive in you pocket may be a costly mistake.
