Just spend 9 days in Roatan and did 20 dives in 7 days! The political problem and the economy have gotten some to postpone and cancelled their trips.I decided to go with with my family of four and we all had a great time staying and diving with Sueno del Mar Beach Resort at West End..We were the only divers daily!!Our dives average 60 minutes per dives. We saw eagle rays, nurse sharks, fat groupers, permits, turtles, moray eels...etc..,and even a juvenile lionfish .The lionfish was at the Black Rock dive site, off West Bay beach .I took a few photos of it.We were badly bitten by the sand flies until we started to use deet spray.I think I have nearly a hundred bites between the sandflies, mosquitoes and ants!Overall we all enjoyed the diving..especially with viz over a 100 ft on most days. The weather was clear and great too. We even saw the mainland mountain range from our hotel!.I am glad we decided to go .Roatan is very safe and not effected by the political problems of the mainland. They did have a few days of curfew by 10pm...We were usually too tired and are sleeping by then !I'll post some photos here once I learn how to do it...
