I've been lurking here a while, but decided to wait until I completed my PADI Open Water Certification before introducing myself. So - HELLO !!!

Yesterday I finished my PADI Open Water Diver course with Rob Shannon of Oakville Divers. We are now licenced to learn more! :D

Hubby & I did the 4 week classroom/pool course in April with Rob and decided to wait until Lake Ontario warmed up a bit before doing the open water portion. Good call as Saturday's bottom temp at 25ft was 78 degrees farenheit and yesterday at 62ft on the Jesse Ann wreck it was 70 degrees - didn't need the hoods - yippee !!

Rob Shannon was a great instructor - safety is clearly his first goal and we feel we'll be safe & cautious divers as a result of the good start Rob has given us.

The immediate future holds a dive trip to Tobermory before the end of the summer and in the Spring Turks & Caicos ... pretty sure there will be some local lakes & quarries thrown in between the two.

Happy Diving !

Congrats, and welcome....is the Cesna still down there by the Jesse Ann? Toby is a must! It will totally enthuse you to dive cold water!

If the Cesna is there, I didn't see it ... but viz was not great. Will return again to search that out when the water temps drop .... and to test my new BCD <g> !
