That seller's gonna make some bank on that set.

Actually it has 3 DAYS left. With bidding already hitting it, I say it could break a grand.

I just talked with the owner of the LDS, who has a like set of triples that she got for an exchange from an open water certified 18 year-old. The kid had been sold these triples by a guy who claimed to have used them in the Navy, and he was to get them for some diving he was to do in a few weeks. He did not understand that they were incompatible with his BC, and needed hydros. Well, the LDS owner got them for two AL 80s and $20. She never got them hydroed, as she was leery of removing the valves (1/2 inch tapered threads). So they have been on display at her dive shop for years. About 8 years ago I put a military harness on them (they did not have anything for a harness). And there they sit, on display in the window. I have urged her to get them hydroed, as I would like to take them into the water sometime. But she won't do it, feeling that she may destroy the valve and/or cylinders getting the valves off. Anyway, she is also watching this auction with interest, as this could define the value of her set of triples.

Still $775, 2 days left....

I think they'll go for $1000+ at the last minute. The seller has to be giddy with anticipation.....

SeaRat, if they do go for a grand, do you think she'll keep them on display?
