Well, I'm about to do dive 24 and 25 tomorrow, enough to say that I'm not a bare bones beginner anymore (yeah, right) and just enough to think I know it all (lol). I've been diving since July, and wonder why I deprived myself of the joy for this long. Since I live in Florida, it makes it hard to go snow skiing, so the ocean calls to me. The experiences I've had in this new world have been great. From the awe of watching a majestic sea turtle rise toward the surface, to the chill of looking to my left into the teeth of a friendly and curious barracuda (he just wanted to say hi) and the thrill of seeing my first shark in the wild without the barrier of a tank has been spectacular. If anyone out there is debating whether or not to try this, go down! It is great. My wife and I enjoy it, and my son has decided that he would like to do it too (we kept telling him how great it is, but he wouldn't decide until a friend of his told him how "cool" it is. What do we know anyway).
