Jumped on ScubaWorks' boat DivOcean for a 2 tanker. Seas flat, viz 90 ft, screaming 3 knot current and 81 toasty degrees on the bottom. 1st drop in 95 deep and just single bugs in each hole. Limited on bugs in the end. Just three tiny lionfish cleaned off the reef today which is going to make it tough to hit the September 6th deadline for 100 LF's.

Tested a new boat food item today for 18 divers.. Lobster mac and cheese with bacon in an ice cream cone. They ate the whole thing, and I had to make seconds! End of August storms are brewing, call your favorite dive boat for a splash!!

Very light north current in s. county. very few boats. Was an easy limit for all aboard. Back at it tomorrow. Any reports how shore divers made out?

What was the bottom temp like?

I had 81 degrees top to the bottom in 95ft deep with no thermoclines at all.

I was flying along at warp speed and dove into a big blowout hole where I found a bug. I looked over to my right and there was a medium size (300lb) goliath under a thin overhang staying out of the current so he could rest. I pulled my bug, looked over at him before I jetted out and said " See you in 2 weeks !! " .....I think he winked at me....
