Working in the diving industry with Jupiter Dive Center is more than just a job. It is about passion for diving as a source of enjoyment and well-being. As part of our team, you will support our mission to offer an incredible underwater experience, while providing exceptional service.
An Instructor is responsible for teaching to agency and Jupiter Dive Center standards, dive guiding daily dives and deck handing for a great underwater experience, safety, and customer service.
Qualifications:
• Actively certified as PADI INSTRUCTOR and willing to crossover to SDI
• Currently certified in First Aid & CPR, AED and Oxygen provider
• Must be in good standing (no recorded ethics violations or quality assurance issues) with any certifying dive agency
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be willing and able to work in a collaborative setting with a diverse group of coworkers and guests
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule and holidays
• Must have current Driver's license. And clean driving record

Responsibilities include:
• Instruct student certifications to agency standards and Jupiter Dive Center standards
• Dive guiding to Dive Master and Jupiter Dive Center standards
• Deck handing to Jupiter Dive Center standards
Carry customer gear and rental gear. Lift and carry tanks to and from boat (up to 60 tanks per day)
• Boat stocking & cleaning

Requirements:
• Initial and random drug testing
• Certification in PADI Dive Master & Instructor
• Experience required

What a great opportunity. Somebody will be joining a great team.

Perhaps I’m corny and old-fashioned but I was delighted by the series of brothers who grew up around JDC and have all worked there. To me, that says a lot about a work environment.

Lisa is humble but energetic when she pitches in and guides. I like her guiding style - relaxed and fun but all business keeping her eye on risks without being a nervous nanny about it. During equipment recovery while we were shooting the breeze, I had to pry it out of her that she’s one of the owners.

I don’t remember the skipper’s name I’ve dived with several times but I think he’s especially skilled with the ability to go from feathering the helm to driving it like a jet ski.

And I especially value that JDC does not condone or use baited observation.
