Sorry, I'll still be in west palm beach, eating all the lobsters I caught during mini season or I'd go. I went on a DD trip a few weeks ago and had a great time! By the way, I went the DD's weekly drift dive wednesday night, had a lot of fun there too.
I'd try to make the trip, but I will be at Whitefish Point that weekend. I do love diving your neck of the woods though.

Where is "DD - Wrecks"? How deep are the dives?
If not too far from Chi town nor deeper than 100, I'd love to know how to get onboard. I have a lot of experience diving wrecks off CA coast from 13ft to 155 ft.
However, had to take a break from diving due to a back injury and am just getting back into it after 6 months out, so I don't want to go too deep too fast. By the time I get to Chi town, I'll only have about 4-6 dives completed in the last two weeks. (I do have 502 dives logged in the 5 1/2 years before that, so I do know AND follow my personal limits )
As of right now, I'm a no-go. I have weekend duty, so Saturday is out of the picture. Now, because it is summer, I may not have anything this weekend, so Saturday may still be a go.
And don't worry Rick, Sunday is a go. :14:

DD-Discover Diving, which is a dive shop out of Depew, NY (think Buffalo area). These charters would be with Osprey Charters out of Barcelona, NY. The docks are a stone's throw away from the Pennsylvania border.
If you are looking at Chicago area, we have several members who may be able to help you out. My experience there is that you have to bring a shovel to go below 40 ft. unless you are diving the Louisville
.Maybe you could sweet talk a moderator into moving your post in this thread and my response to the general GLWC forum for better visibility among our divers from the western area of the GLWC.

Thanks for the info Brian. Why did you guys post this in the GLWC forum? Isn't there a forum for NY divers?
It looks like I will be going out with Capt. Dale on Sunday (not sure if morn or afternoon at this point). I am VERY excited about it. Except, I didn't bring my drysuit, and now that I am in Chicago, a fellow SBer posted that it is 41-42 F at 100 feet in Lake Michigan. :11: That was about 10-15 degrees colder than I had thought. Ohwell, it might feel kinda good to be a popsicle for a tad after a dive in the temps around here, anyway :blinking:
