Excellent article. A lot of the experts are noted authorities on dolphin physiology and behavior. The unbelievable aspect is that the Japanese government sees these fishing villages as economic development zones and the continued support of "centuries old" traditions. Such a pile of rubbish.

First: The Japanese government has $$$. Yen talks, BS walks. The fishermen happen to be very vocal.
Second: Centuries old - how many power boats were there 100 years ago?
Third: 21,000 dolphins is a huge cull. What are they thinking?
