I'm a Fish!
Well, thanks to work and having to be gone for a week unexpectedly and then a stupid injury, I didn't get as many dives in this month as I was hoping to.

BUT, I met one of my 2005 dive goals:
Dive at least one other area of Western Australia at least once this year...it's been too long!
I did one whole dive in Perth while there last week. It counts ;) The conditions weren't the greatest, but I had fun and saw some very cool stuff.

Let's here what you've been up to...feel free to add more stats :D

for diving in a winter month in the Netherlands with a wetsuit. :11:

Four dives and two pool training sessions.

Laurens

Floridian, freezing and landlocked in France for almost two months already, just one more to go. No dives in January, desperate for water. How do you northern Europeans live like this?

Woefully, i only got in a couple of dive in Jupiter, a couple at Orange Grove in the cavern and a further 4 dives in on my DS to try to get into the swing of things (well if you only count one dive for each time i took it out, although i came up a few times), conservatively 8 this month, possibly as many as 10 if i count some dives as more than one due to ascents/descents etc. ;)

I'm only slightly ahead of my average for the month - 22 so far. I'll add a pair today though.

I did get up to Port Hardy for a week and that was one of my goals for this year.

6 dives, all in FL panhandle springs with water temps around 68ºsF - so I guess I cheated the whole Winter thing :D

Not quite as good as I had hoped due to woeful conditions (So Cal seemed to be drowned for a few weeks there).

Still, 9 dives (6 from boat, 3 for PADI AOW class) isn't so bad I guess (seeing as I lost a fin last week and we had to thumb a 6 ft vis couple of dives today)

Have a look here: Nemo33.
I will just say that I was forced to promise not to take a jumper to Egypt and dive the Red Sea, to the point I had to leave everything (mask included) at home. I figured that if I die my hair black, and wear contact lenses, it would not be a problem. Seems I didn't have the final word... All I have is my OW card, and that is because I forgot it was in my travel bag. So I lack the AOW credentials. Although I could probably get around that, I also lack a doctors note. The only time I have been asked for a doctors note in the States was when I made a mistake and told the truth about having had asthma. Stupid medical disclaimers. Never tell the truth on those things, it just causes extra pain and additional expenses.
