I think we are going to stay at beaches resort...but the final place has not been determined yet.

I just got back from the ocho rios sandals resort and diving was good (not great but good). we used the on site dive staff and it went really well

I dived in Negril with Scuba Caribe (you can find them on the net with some pics) and was happy with the dives there.
Great viz, nice temperature, nice underwaterlife.

Enjoy your diving in Jamaica and have fun (it's a great place - loved the food & the local peeps). Peace :-)

Afaik, the Beaches chain all have their own dive ops, and scuba diving is included in your all inclusive. If you have still not decided on location, I would recommend the Negril area (the Beaches Sandy Bay is still Negril). Beaches Negril is much larger and active - just depends on what you like.

You will have to do a check out dive, so register with watersports as soon as possible. The normal schedule is 9am and a 11am dives, with the 9 being the deeper dive.

Do a search on Negril - have fun!

Beaches, Sandals, Couples, Breezes, and Hedonism all have diving included. Negril is generally considered the best diving around the island. This side of the island is the calmer water so diving is less likely to be cancelled due to rough conditions. The water in May should be 82F with viz at 80+ ft. Have fun!
