I will be in Jacksonville next month for a day before i catch my cruise ship out of Jacksonville. Any good shore or local dives in the area? i am not opposed to a charter either. Any tips, advice or recommendations?

No real shore dives although a few people dive the jetties.Charters may be running but doubtful.
The best bet is a private boat, and most of the divers here spearfish and lobster.
There are a few rivers with near 0 vis fossil diving.
The best diving here occurs at the recreational limit and beyond.120' and deeper have better vis, warmer temps and more fish.

I am in Jacksonville on the 8th and managed to join a charter. Doing a 4 tanks on 4 different wrecks. Cost $150

My first time there so I cannot provide a review yet.

Offshore Dive Charters

David

Offshore Dive Charters is the way to go. Dan is a good Captain and the boat is solid. They are on the cobia right now.

I look forward to seeing your review. I'm in the process of moving to Atlanta so am trying to build a data base of good dive boats in N. Florida, S. Georgia, the Panhandle and Carolinas.

$150 for four dives seems like a pretty good price.
