Hi guys
Be gentle with me im no photographic tech ok.
I made the decission to purchase a new camera and that i wanted a Cannon(that was the only easy bit).Im trying to learn beter photography at the same time(my two small albums on here are listed as Alcal.
I was looking at the G9 G10 G11 but came up against a wide angle issue and a lense issue,cant get the wide angle or the lenses in the Cannon underwater housing,thought i might overcome this with an Iklite housing,doesnt totally resolve the wide issue but allows me to wet fit lenses,trouble is its screw fit which jacks the price up by almost double grrr.The other housing i looked at is over a 1,000 dollars.
I was recommended to buy the Ixus 980 reason being in a Cannon housing with an EON adapter it can take a wet fit (bayonet)wide/fish eye/macro lense although internal macro is 3.7 and doesnt offer RAW format its using the same chip as the G11.
Either way i cant get a (not sure of the wording)direct strobe slave and have to attach it to pick up on the internal flash as an external scensor.Strobe and mount set up S & S YS27
My questions are:
Does all this make sense:blinking:
And if you read this and are camera literate does it sound like a good choice .
Im trying to create a camera set up that i can grow into rather than grow out of,i only expect three to four years life for this set up.
