It's been -15°C to -20°C (10° - 0°F) in Ontario for the past week. Some nights it dipped so cold you could hear the call of the Ki Ki birds.

The Ki Ki bird is a distant relative to the arctic and antarctic penquins. They are indiginous to the cold arctic regions, prefering the cold they only venture south when the temperatures drop down below zero(F).

They are usually loners, living most of their life in solitude and silence, but when it gets really cold they huddle together in little groups to keep warm. At such times they become vocal, with their calls, "Kee, Keee Keee Christ it's cold!

just like on the Natioanl Geographic Channel

similar to the Omedoodle bird.

this is a sea bird that has very short legs. Under normal circumstances they land on water, but sometimes they land on sand banks by mistake, and you can hear them calling out "oh me doodle, oh me doodle"
