Hi Everybody,

DSS used to make Santoprene wedgeblocks for their single cylinder systems. They were devices that sat in the indentation of the back plate and the cambands threaded through them.

I am trying to get my hands on a couple or so.

Anybody out there who can part with some.

Thanks Jay, they are almost what I am looking for. These pads can be placed anywhere but I seem to remember the ones that fit into the indented spine of the backplate ...
 
These are similar but not the same. They are rounded, so they don't fit as well as the DSS ones, and you need an exacto knife to remove a bit of the rubber, so the cam straps line up with the tensioner in place.
