Ok i have the Islander 2 in an xl size the spec sheet said it has 30 pounds of lift. i weight 250 and i am 5, 11 does this BC have plenty of lift for me in cold water. I live in Oklahoma so winter can get a little cold i will be using a 7mm farmer john. Thanks

well, there are more variables at play.. are you diving Steel Tanks? 30 pounds should be enough provided you are no overweighted with lead.
 
al 80 most likely at this time. I do plan on moving up to steel when i buy my own but thats still a few away. i do plan on going to a bp/w but what i have will have to do for now .
 
It should be enough. I think you will need to use 10lbs in trim pockets and some ditchable weights as well (probably 5+5 to start).
