Is there Scuba instruction in Amsterdam?

I want to buy my boyfriend scuba lessons for Christmas. He lives in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. I found dive centers outside of Amsterdam, but none in town.

I've been looking around on the web, particularly the PADI site and couldn't find any sites. Not speaking Dutch doesn't help, but maybe someone here has a suggestion.

I grew up in Nethelands, I agree, never saw a dive shop back then, but things may have changed.

there are several shops in Amsterdam. The big one is www.hollanddiving.com. They have locations in Amsterdam and Rotterdam.

Have you managed to find THE shop you need?

If not please advise...I / we know and have a network in Europe so please let me know if you need any help what soever...I am sure everyone here will say the same.
