... to shut off the "power saver" feature on the SP-350?

Had a dogfish literally swim up to me tonight. I raised my camera, lined up what would've been a close-up of a shark eyeball, and a split second before pressing the shutter, the dang camera shut itself off!

By the time I got it powered up again, the dogfish was 30 feet away ...

dang that hurts....sorry....:(

What I sometimes do, when I notice that I haven't taken a picture in a bit, is take a picture (just press the button, not aiming at anything)...has rescued me once or twice.

maybe in the power options?

If it is like most cameras, you don't even have to take a photo. Just pressing any button, like turning the monitor on or off, will reset the autoshutdown time.
That's correct ... but it shuts itself off at the most inconvenient times, and it takes two or three seconds to cycle back on. With a moving target, you miss the shot.

On my Fuji I have the option of turning off the feature altogether, so the camera stays on continually. Can't find that option on the SP-350 ...
