One UK seller (Camerabox) informed me that they will not be receiving any more and another (Fotosense, from whom I just bought my lens, at a very low price) advertises "the last few" on their website. Has anybody heard that Tokina have stopped making this lens or are about to do so?

I really love mine, been thinking about buying a back-up. Wonder what they would replace it with????

This needs an internal focus motor to work well on Nikon low end cameras. Perhaps they will introduce a new model with internal focus motor, like Nikon AF-S or Sigma HSM? I can't see them walking away from this successful product line. I may get a backup too....

Is the lens that successful among other photographers than underwater?
