Question Is Tamron 90mm F/2.8 Di III (Sony) compatible with Nauticam?

I'm pretty sure I know the answer but asking to reconfirm:

Anyone know if the new Tamron 90mm F/2.8 Di III MACRO VXD for Sony is compatible with any Nauticam port or adaptor fitting the Nauticam NA-A7RV housing?

I cannot say for sure. But you should be able to cobble together a solution, You would get a short macro port and with the right port extender, it should work. It would not have to be exact. Now if you want a focus gear for that lens you are probably out of luck. Usually Nauticam has solutions for the main lenses of the major lines like the 100 or so macro, a wide angle zoom etc. They usually do not support the secondary lens lines like Tamron, Tokina, Sigma etc. Sometimes they do but not usually.

Had a long talk with Peter from Scubapix and after taking measurements of the Tamron 90mm, it appears that the Tamron does (kinda) fit into the N100 Macro Port 105 for the Sony 90mm. There is about 1mm wiggle room as long as the measurements were accurate enough.

Only drawback here that this will not allow for MF since the focus gear of the Sony does not fit the Tamron.

=> regarding the long N100 Macroport 105, I regret that I have bought the long 105 macroport for my Sony 90mm lens. It would have been better to go for a short macroport plus N100 extensions instead to provide more flexibility and the the possibility to house more lenses...
