Is Olympus 8080 really lilmited to 512 mb card?

The manual for this camera states that 512 is the largest mb. card to be used with it, however, this limits the camera to only 40 pictures at the 8 megapixel reslolution level. I was wondering if anybody had used a larger card with this camera successfully? Thanks.

According to the Oly web site, the 8080 can use 1gb cards in both H and M types

I use a 1 gb h type card in my 8080. Along with a 4 gb CF card, I have A LOT of storage!

I sincerely doubt it. My 5060 takes at least a 1 gig CF card. I've never put a larger that 512 XD card in it, so don't know how big that one could be.

I put a 2 gig CF in my 5050 and it works...

Currently using a 1 Gb H type xD and Sandisk 4Gb Ultra II in my 5060 & 7070 .
