Hello all, I have just purchased my regs,a Delta4 FDX-10.

As i was looking at it this morning, i noticed a slight gap between the plastic housing?

On one side the gap is nice and tight where it joins, but the other side of the reg has a gap that has me sort of concerned.

Is this something that will have any effect on the first stage? Should a new reg be this way or am i just being paranoid??

Thanks in advance for any replies to my concerns.

I am not an Oceanic expert, but it appears to be a trim boot and a gap where two halves of the boot join would not be any reason for concern.

Personally, I am not a big believer in large trim boots on first stages as they are fairly effective insulators and reduce heat transfer in very cold water.

:14:Thanks for the fast reply DA Aquamaster, maybe it will make rinsing it a little easier with the gap.:blinking:
