This Miami cop killer, LaBeet.

Anybody remember the Fountain Valley Golf Course Massacre? (St Croix)

Ishmael LaBeet
1973 -- Convicted of Fountain Valley massacre.
1985 -- Hijacked airliner to Cuba when he was being transferred to mainland prison.
1994 -- Whereabouts unknown; last reported seen in Cuba.

I was almost there for his transport. Somebody in the ground crew hid a gun in the lavatory in St Thomas (I think they landed from St Croix to refuel, I cannot remember) At that time FAA would not allow cuffed prisoners on the plane, so the marshals uncuffed him to use the lavatory.

Anyway, I thought he had a Miami connection, my memory is going.--his mother?

Anybody here from the VI remember this?

:11:WOW !!

LaBeet? That's what you do to LeEggs for an omlete.

I remember the case well since I had spent a lot of time on St. Thomas over the years, but it was relegated to the back memory burners. It affected tourism on St. Croix for a good while.
The Labeet in this case in Florida won't be going to Cuba since he was sent to Hell last night.

The news said the shooter was the half brother of the LaBeet in the Virgin Islands

WHAT????

...I knew it

that is freaky, I scare myself (and Kim)

he had the bad *** seed gene I guess

(do you realize I posted that as it was happening?)
